The Mystery Jets were forced to cut their set on the Radio 1/NME stage short today at Leeds Festival, prompting guitarist William Rees-Moog to smash up his mike stand in protest.

The Eel Pie Island quintet were twenty minutes late taking to the stage, exclusively giving the time to play a fraction of their set.

The Mystery Jets have already had to pull kayoed of septet performances this summer referable to Blaine being hospitalised for on-going Spina Bifida treatment. Their frustration at having to leave the stage early today surfaced barely a few songs into their set.

Thats pretty shtup outrageous, Rees-Moog aforesaid to the crowd, afterwards a technician informed the band that they merely had eight minutes left field to play. Why doesnt the person wHO organises Leeds festival total down here now and well get a word.

Security had to escort the band off the stage after a spirited rendition of Two Doors Down, as things took a violent turn up forepart, with the audience booing and bottling security in a register of support for the band.

Stay tuned to Gigwise for all the modish on the last day at Leeds...

Often hailed as Sweden's number unitary big metal band, Heavy Load was founded in Stockholm, in 1976, by brothers Ragne (vocals/guitar) and Styrbjörn Wahlquist (drums/vocals). With bassist Dan Molén in tow, the brothers released Heavy Load's debut album, Full Speed at High Level, in 1978, only their sovereign record company went insolvent, and it wasn't until iII years by and by that they re-emerged on their own Thunderload Records sculptural relief, hoisting aloft the Metal Conquest EP, and accompanied by new members Eddie Malm (guitar) and Torbjorn Ragnesjo (bass). Two more than albums and then followed in prompt ecological succession: 1982's Death or Glory and 1983's Stronger Than Evil -- both establishing Heavy Load's "splendiferous metal" style as a cross 'tween the imagined absurdity of Spinal Tap and the all-too-real (only sometimes every bit incredible) proto-power/speed metal of Manowar. Heavy metal fans seemed illogical close to this as well, and since their gross gross sales remained limited at c. H. Best, the group decided to break up following a terminal single entitled "Monsters of the Night" in 1985. Heavy Load briefly reformed in 1987 for a fresh round of studio roger Huntington Sessions which give so far to be released, so the Wahlquist brothers have since off their attentions to producing other bands.

Robert Goulet - Martin Of Rowan Amp Martin Tema Dead At 86

Dick Martin, one half of the comedy team of Rowan and Martin, who hosted the seminal
Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In in the 1960s, died Saturday of respiratory complications
in Santa Monica, CA at age 86. His comedic partner, Dan Rowan, died in 1987. L
augh-In's appeal was its irreverence. It famously persuaded Richard Nixon, then
making a presidential bid, to deliver its signature line, "Sock it to me." In its
obituary, the New York Times quoted Martin as once saying that the audience
wants "to see sacred cows kicked over" and that the show contrived sketches involving
celebrities just to be "irreverent and silly." He noted that other variety shows
might pay the arch singer Robert Goulet $10,000 to sing three songs. "We hire Robert
Goulet, pay him $210 and drop him through a trap door."

TOP Brit band THE TING TINGS have hit the big time after US technology giant
Apple picked their new single for the latest iPod TV ad.

Shut Up And Let Me Go will feature on KATIE WHITE and JULES DE
MARTINO’s new album We Started Nothing, released on May 19.

The band found out the Apple news before playing the Carling Academy in
Islington, North London, on Monday for the MTV Spanking New Music Tour.

If that sensational show is anything to go by, their label should give them
good news before every gig.

Amy 'Winemouse': 'Please don't divorce me Blake'

Amy Winehouse has been papped picking up bouquets of flowers from her doorstep sent to her by husband Blake Fielder-Civil in celebration of their first wedding anniversary. The Mirror's 3am team admits this is a "blooming lovely gesture" from Fielder-Civil, currently awaiting trial for perverting the course of justice and GBH charges, but the Star is more concerned with how he has turned to religion in a bid to save their marriage. "Blake has been praying because he thinks it's the only thing that will make a difference," while Amy allegedly "spent her anniversary drowning her sorrows at home." Or, perhaps, playing with baby mice with her good friend Pete Doherty as you can see from this peculiar footage the pair posted online.
"This one's got a message for Blake," says the singer, pointing a tiny creature at the camera. "Please don't divorce Amy, she loves you ever so." Not quite as touching as having thousands of pounds worth of flowers strewn at your feet, but a lovely gesture nonetheless.

When not busy fondling small creatures this weekend, Pete and Amy joined Bizarre's Smart Gordon at the annual Celebrity Soccer Six tournament. He reports: "We had a good start in the group stage, beating rockers the Automatic 2-1. Next up was the grudge match with Pete Doherty's Babyshambles. And despite him bringing along some ringers and a minger, in Amy Winehouse, with Kristian Marr below, the game was a 1-1 draw." Yes, despite the fact that Amy Winehouse and Kristian Marr were present, this did not guarantee a win for Babyshambles. It didn't guarantee a win for Smart Gordon either, who crashed out in the semis, losing 3-1 to Faithless. As always, it could have been worse for the Bizarre man, he alleges Doherty had planned to "snap Smart in half".

Kim Dawson of Kim Dawson's Playlist has been talking exclusively to "soul sensation" Adele about what inspires the 20-year-old to write songs - as with all true artists, it's misery and heartache: "It's when I'm threatening to kill myself I write. You probably won't hear a happy song from me." But the singer clearly feels aggrieved by those who dismiss her "deep" relationship with the boy who inspired her album 19 as nothing more than youthful infatuation, saying: "I think a lot of people think, 'Oh she's only 19 what does she think she's writing about?' If people think I shouldn't be writing about that then they can f**k off and don't listen to my music." Ah, it's like poetry in motion.

Lindsay Lohan opens up about life post-rehab

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan has spoken about her party girl image six months after leaving a rehabilitation facility in Utah.
The 21-year-old star told Glamour magazine that she hoped to rid her life of bad influences and return to work following her stay at the Cirque Lodge clinic.
In her first interview since rehab Lohan said: "There are friends that have been hard to hang out with because they've gone down a different path. But it's hard because I'm the kind of person who wants to trust everyone."
She added: "I'm fine being alone during the day, but I hate being alone at night. I like having friends around me, but now I'd much rather be at home. That's not to say I'll never go to a club again, because I'd be lying."
Asked what she believes is the biggest misconception others have about her, Lohan replied: "That I don't have my head in the right place. That, and probably that I'm not a good person ... because actually I am."
